Clears Wet, Heavy Snow
Equipped with a 12.5-gross-torque Husqvarna snow engine, the 12524SB has the capacity to clear 24-inch wide paths and snow depths up to 23 inches high with ease. Thanks to its sturdy two-stage auger/impeller system, it quickly creates a clearly defined walking path for safer traveling through snowy areas on your property.

Two-Stage System
This snow thrower uses a two-stage process for thorough snow clearing. Snow is fed into the housing by an auger, and it is then discharged through the chute via an impeller. For added convenience, levers on the control panel adjust the direction and pitch of the snow discharge chute.

Electric Starter
Even when temperatures are frigid, the 12524SB starts quickly and easily with its electric starter. To use, simply connect the machine to a power outlet and start the engine with a press of a button. And because this straightforward system is electric, you'll never have to worry about a dead battery leaving you stranded.

Stable, Easy-to-Maneuver Design
The 12524SB features a variable forward/reverse drive--controlled by a joystick located on the user panel--to help improve mobility under changing conditions, while heavy-duty X-trac tires provide stability on snowy surfaces.

And to help illuminate your path when light is limited, the 12524SB comes with a standard floodlight.

The 12524SB is backed by a two-year warranty.

Great Snowblower

This is my first snow blower, and I have to say I am impressed with it. It easily cleared 8 -12 inches of heavy wet snow (as well as about 18 inches where the plow buried my driveway) , and a few days later 6 inches of powdery snow in no time flat. Seems to be built very well, and started on the first pull on both uses. I didn't use the electric start - so I cannot comment on that. It is a bit difficult to turn, and you have to muscle it around tight corners a bit. It allows for you to release the auger control so you can steer the chute with a free hand while driving. My neighbor has already commented on it "being a beast". It can throw snow 30 feet with ease. The chute (all metal) adjust on the dash works well (it didn't feel difficult to move or bind at all), and the LARGE tires are great for tearing through snow. It arrived in a wood lined crate in pristine condition, loaded directly into my garage without the usual 50 dollar lift charge you see elsewhere (thanks Amazon). I had it assembled in about 30 minutes. I bought it for about 800 dollars. I think for this price, you are getting a good buy. I would definitely buy again.
Works great

Quality product

Reviewer: Michael P. Brig,
bought this recently... assembled it last weekend... and had 12 inches of snowfall this last saturday. It worked well and appears to to be of very high quality. I would have rated it 5 stars except for a few things I think were deceptive in the description. The engine appears to be of Husquevrna design but of chinese manufacture and imported by a company called LCT. Again it worked fine. The speed/direction controls were not infinitely variable but had a finite number of notchs.. for example ... one reverse. It is also heavy and takes a bit of muscle to manuever. Im 6'3" and it was tiring after a while... and the wheels are geared together... the do not spin seperately at neutral to allow easy manuvering.
Not up to Par

I purchased the Ariens equivalent (made in the USA) of this product a couple of winters ago, and it has not held up well. Issues include:
1) The rivets hoding the turning handle on the thrower discharge broke easily.
2) When the thrower engine dies or is shut off, it needs about 15 minutes of "rest" before it will restart.
3) The actual rolling speed is very slow.
4) It spilled a lot of snow from one side prior to my annual tune-up.
5) The electric starter broke after 2 seasons.

I would recommend another brand, and if you have a large driveway, don't hesitate to spend big for the larger sized thrower.
